Appointment Booking

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve all appointments. Your deposit secures your appointment time and is applied toward your final service total. Appointments are not confirmed until the required deposit has been received.

Standard Service Appointments

(Standard Retightenings, Shampoo Services, Treatments, Repairs, Styling, etc.) Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled with at least 72 hours' notice. • Requests made at least 72 hours before the appointment will allow your deposit to be transferred to a new appointment. • Requests made with less than 72 hours' notice will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

Establishment Appointments

(Sisterlocks®, Microlocs, Brotherlocks, and Traditional Loc Establishments) Because these appointments require extensive preparation and reserve an entire day or multiple hours on the schedule: • A minimum of two (2) weeks' notice is required to reschedule. • Rescheduling is based solely upon the consultant's availability. • Only one (1) reschedule is permitted. • Failure to provide two weeks' notice or requesting additional reschedules will result in forfeiture of the deposit. • A new deposit will be required before another appointment can be scheduled.

No-Show Policy

Clients who fail to arrive for their scheduled appointment without prior notice will forfeit their deposit. Future appointments may require payment in full before scheduling. Repeated no-shows may result in refusal of future appointments.

Late Arrival Policy

Please arrive on time. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may have their appointment shortened, modified, or canceled depending on the remaining schedule. Appointments canceled due to excessive tardiness are considered late cancellations and deposits will be forfeited.

Payment Policy

Remaining balances are due immediately upon completion of services. Accepted payment methods: • Cash • Credit/Debit Cards • Approved Electronic Payments Personal checks are not accepted. Returned payments will incur additional fees.

Refund Policy

Due to the professional nature of services provided, all services, deposits, gift certificates, and retail product purchases are non-refundable. If you are dissatisfied with your service, please notify Luv Locs Studio within 7 days of your appointment. Any necessary adjustments will be evaluated by the consultant and completed at no additional charge when determined to be the result of consultant error.

Children & Additional Guests

To provide a peaceful and safe environment: Only clients receiving services are permitted inside the studio. Children should not accompany clients unless they are receiving services. Additional guests are not permitted unless previously approved.

Cell Phone Courtesy

Phone calls should be limited during services. Speakerphone conversations, loud videos, and excessive interruptions are discouraged to maintain a relaxing environment for all clients.

Food & Beverages

Covered beverages are welcome. Please avoid bringing meals that produce strong odors unless your appointment exceeds four hours.

Health & Illness Policy

If you are experiencing fever, flu-like symptoms, COVID-19 symptoms, contagious skin conditions, lice, or any contagious illness, please contact the studio immediately to reschedule.

Hair Preparation

Unless instructed otherwise: • Hair should be free of heavy oils, grease, waxes, butters, gels, and excessive product buildup. • Hair must be thoroughly detangled when required for your scheduled service. Additional cleansing or detangling may result in additional service charges.

Consultation Policy

All new clients seeking Sisterlocks®, Microlocs, Brotherlocks, or Traditional Loc establishments must complete a consultation before scheduling an establishment appointment. Consultation fees apply and are non-refundable.

Maintenance Schedule

Clients are encouraged to maintain appointments every 4–6 weeks unless otherwise recommended. Appointments extending beyond the recommended maintenance schedule may require additional time and additional fees.

Service Guarantee

Luv Locs Studio guarantees workmanship performed during your appointment. Improper home maintenance, chemical services performed elsewhere, excessive manipulation, failure to follow aftercare instructions, or missed maintenance appointments may void this guarantee.

Photography & Marketing

Photographs may be taken before and after services. Photos may be used for educational or promotional purposes. Clients who prefer not to have photographs used should notify the consultant before services begin.

Right to Refuse Service

Luv Locs Studio reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service for anyone exhibiting: • Disrespectful behavior • Abusive language • Harassment • Unsafe or threatening conduct • Failure to follow studio policies

Appointment Scheduling

Luv Locs Studio operates by appointment only. Walk-in appointments are not accepted. Clients are encouraged to schedule their next appointment before leaving the studio to ensure continuity of care and to reserve their preferred date and time. For the best availability and to maintain healthy locs, clients are strongly encouraged to keep at least two (2) future appointments scheduled at all times, with appointments occurring approximately every six (6) weeks. Because appointment availability is limited, Luv Locs Studio cannot guarantee preferred dates or times for clients who delay scheduling.

Premium Appointment Times

Appointments scheduled before 6:00 a.m. are available by request only and will incur an additional $25 Early Appointment Fee. Appointments scheduled after 5:00 p.m. are available by request only and will incur an additional $25 Evening Appointment Fee.

Same-Day Appointment Policy

Accepted Answer

Same-day appointments are offered only when availability permits. All same-day appointments are subject to an additional $25 Same-Day Scheduling Fee. Availability is not guaranteed and is at the sole discretion of the consultant.

Appointment Availability

Appointment requests are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Clients who maintain a regular six-week maintenance schedule and book appointments in advance are more likely to receive their preferred appointment dates and times. Luv Locs Studio appreciates your cooperation in planning ahead so that we can continue providing timely, quality service to every client.

Missed Appointment Habit Policy

Clients who accumulate two (2) late cancellations, no-shows, or missed appointments within a six (6) month period will no longer be eligible to book online appointments. All future appointments must be paid in full at the time of booking. Full payment is non-refundable, non-transferable, and no changes, cancellations, or rescheduling will be permitted once the appointment has been booked. Failure to appear for a prepaid appointment will result in the forfeiture of all monies paid. A new full payment will be required to schedule any future services.

Maintenance Appointment Policy

To maintain the health, integrity, and appearance of your locs, maintenance appointments are recommended every 4–6 weeks. Appointments scheduled beyond six (6) weeks will incur an additional $35 maintenance fee for each week or portion of a week past the six-week mark. This fee reflects the additional time and labor required to safely maintain overgrown locs. Clients who consistently exceed the recommended maintenance schedule may require extended appointment times or multiple appointments to restore proper maintenance.

Transfer Client Policy

Clients transferring from another consultant are welcome; however, all transfer clients are required to complete a consultation before booking maintenance services. During the consultation, the condition of the locs, locking pattern, density, and maintenance needs will be evaluated. Corrective work, repairs, or restoration services may result in additional charges.

Corrective Service Policy

Corrective services—including repairs, loc restoration, combining, separating, reattachment, and reconstruction—are priced according to the amount of work required. Pricing cannot be quoted accurately until an in-person consultation has been completed.

Emergency & Priority Scheduling

Emergency, same-day, next-day, holiday, or extended-hours appointments may be available at the consultant's discretion. These appointments are considered premium scheduling and are subject to additional convenience fees.

Hair Preparation Policy

Clients are responsible for arriving with their hair prepared according to pre-service instructions. Hair should be free of heavy oils, grease, waxes, excessive buildup, and temporary color sprays unless otherwise instructed. Additional shampooing, detoxing, detangling, or preparation required before beginning the scheduled service will be billed at the current service rate.

Satisfaction Guarantee

Luv Locs Studio stands behind the quality of its workmanship. If you believe an adjustment is needed due to consultant workmanship, you must notify the studio within 7 calendar days of your appointment. Adjustments resulting from consultant error will be corrected at no additional charge. This guarantee does not cover damage caused by improper home care, missed maintenance appointments, excessive manipulation, chemical services performed elsewhere, or failure to follow aftercare instructions.

Retail Product Policy

Due to health and sanitation regulations, all retail product sales are final. Defective products may be exchanged for the same item within 7 days with proof of purchase.

Photographs and videos may be taken before, during, and after services for educational, portfolio, and marketing purposes. Clients who prefer not to have their images used must notify the consultant before services begin.

Personal Belongings

Clients are responsible for all personal belongings brought into the studio. Luv Locs Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

Service Refusal Policy

Luv Locs Studio reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service when necessary, including but not limited to: - Disrespectful or abusive behavior - Harassment or threatening conduct - Repeated failure to follow studio policies - Unsanitary hair or scalp conditions that cannot safely be serviced - Active contagious illnesses or infestations - Failure to disclose conditions that may affect the service

Appointment confirmations and reminders are provided as a courtesy. Clients remain responsible for knowing their appointment date and time, regardless of whether a reminder is received.
